Beginning this Sunday, November 20th and continuing for the next three weeks until December 4th, St. John’s will be collecting new toys for children in the 5-13 year range. Unwrapped toys will be collected in the Narthex (front entryway) to the Church. Toys can also be dropped off at the Rectory at 59 Montclair Ave. during the week. Easier yet, use Amazon and have them sent to the Rectory. Monetary donations can be made by check and put in the offering plate on Sunday (with 4Cs written in the memo area) or can be made via the Vanco page on our St. John’s website. We are deeply grateful for your support of 4Cs families and children this holiday season!
What We Do
4Cs is a non-profit organization that provides training and education for childcare home providers, resource and referral services, and childcare subsidies for qualified low to moderate income families primarily in Paterson and Passaic. Without the subsidy, many of these parents would not be able to work full time or go to school. 4Cs continues to be a crucial link in helping Passaic County thrive.
Who We Help
Anahi, one of our former clients and parents, came to 4Cs as a single mother of two small children who, with no family members in the area, didn’t have a backup system of care. She received the support and financial aid she needed to help with childcare and parenting while she attended college and worked full time. After graduation, she joined 4Cs as a professional educator, and now helps support families and childcare providers through our programs. She is a wonderful example of how 4Cs provides an all-encompassing approach to family support and childcare, and how, because of their own personal experiences, our staff members each bring empathic knowledge and compassion to their roles. For her part, Anahi notes that without the help of 4Cs, she would not be on the path she is today, with a career she loves and a family who is accomplishing their goals.
