We are glad you are visiting our web home, and invite you join us for worship and fellowship. We are an Episcopal congregation located in beautiful Montclair, N.J. just blocks from the Walnut Street train station and shopping district. We are currently offering an 8 am and 10 am service each Sunday during the school year and one service at 9 am during the summer. Children gather for Church School prior to the main service, then join their families for Holy Communion. |
St. John's Welcomes a New Priest!
Dear Parishioners and Friends of St. John’s,
We are delighted and blessed to announce that the Reverend Carrie Cabush has accepted the call to serve as our parish’s Priest-in-Charge, beginning December 2, 2024. Carrie currently serves as Associate Rector at Calvary Episcopal Church in Summit, New Jersey, and will be winding down her ministry there over the next month. Carrie was one of five outstanding candidates the Diocese introduced to the Vestry. After three months of interviews, discernment, and prayers, the Vestry came to recognize in Carrie the same desires of St. John’s members. She will fully embrace our credo “Many Paths, One Journey,” reaffirm the vibrancy of our worship and mission, prayerfully strengthen connections within the current St. John’s community, and grow our parish creatively and thoughtfully.
