Stephen Ministry will host 4 weekly open house sessions in May for Mental Health Awareness Month.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. As we ease out of restrictions and winter with much anticipation and enjoyment of life budding all around us, it can be easy to forget that some of us are not quite there yet. Stephen Ministry is about caring and listening, being present for someone going through a difficult time and offering emotional and spiritual support. This is typically one to one. This month, we will have 4 open houses for one hour on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm and invite one and all to participate. You may join in whatever way you are comfortable - call in, video off, chat - as this will be an open forum. Discussions may include parenting, grief, divorce, job loss, illness, relocation or any other life situation. Stephen Ministers are not mental health professionals. This is caring in community and, like communion, all are welcome.
